| Digital Native's "Chief," and founder is, David Simerly, a software engineer and writer with more than 15 years of experience in the computer industry. David is author of two Sybex computer books, Practical Excel Uses, and Advanced Excel Solutions, as well as many software user manuals, and articles in industry publications such MacWorld, MacUser, and Bay Area Computer Currents.
Using his understanding of computer-human interaction, which is essential for creating clear and concise technical documentation, David brings the same clarity and customer-centric approach to software engineering. David was instrumental in software products such as The Manhole, City-to-City, Focal Point II, Executive WorkStation, and many others. As an 11-year veteran of Claris and Apple, David was responsible for architecting database systems, workflow automation, and engineering custom in-house software. He is co-author of Apple-held patent number, 5,982,365: System and Methods for Interactively Generating and Testing Help Systems.
